ZOMBICIDE BLACK PLAGUE

This is an archival project from a year or so ago.  CMON had sent Kickstarter backers for Zombicide: Black Plague an early Xmas present with a wave 1 delivery of the base game.  I was eager to paint them up and I tried to keep the main hero's paint schemes consistent with game illustrations:

Main box set Heroes and Necro

Main box set Heroes

Zombies...

More Zombies....

ZZZZZoooombbiees....

.....................

And.......finally, Zombies.

This was a really fun set to paint up.  The quality on these are a bit less than my normal single figure projects as I tend to assembly line masses of troops, utilize a light prime, highlight the base prime, wash the colors onto the figure, pick out details, and - finally perform a brush-on "dip" technique to wash down the miniature.  I've had great success with this process in the past, and, I'm very happy with the results on this set of figures especially.

Kings of War - Varangur army progress

I've recently been working on a few Kings of War armies.   The game is a refreshing return to fantasy mass battles for me and I've had a fun time with the multi-basing approach to regiments.  Here's a few newer pieces I've been working on for my Varangur army.

Troop of Reavers

Regiment of Thralls

Cursed Son

Horde of The Fallen

Regiment of Sons of Korgaan

I opted to use mostly GW Chaos models for this army; however, I did get a few Frostgrave Cultist and Barbarian kits in the mix as well.  I will attempt to post some more pics once the army is finished.

Greetings!

Hello there 😊.   Welcome to Realm Builder Productions!  I've created this blog to archive a selection of miniature/gaming related projects to begin the process of painting miniatures and creating original tabletop gaming related items(e.g. scenic resin bases, terrain, etc.). In time, many of these items will be offered up for sale on ebay or via another website.

The initial idea to start Realm Builder Productions, mainly, stems from the basic need to provide a source of supplemental income in an effort to offset the cost of health insurance - which, at the moment, is currently entering a state of limbo for myself/family.  In an attempt to mitigate the worst possible scenario for my family, I will utilize my painting and creative talents to offer up a variety of unique items to the tabletop gaming community.

Realm Builder Productions will specialize in 25/28mm scale miniatures running the gamut of genres(sci-fi, fantasy, historical); but, I may also dabble in some 15mm projects as well.  My painting style could be described as a more traditional or classical approach which still maintains hints of realism.  Here are a few examples of some figures I've painted in past few years.  Thanks for vistiting!
